In recent years, Lin County has effectively boosted the yield and quality of red dates by improving date production methods, adopting new technologies, promoting the planting of new red-date varieties, and carrying out variety improvement efforts. At the same time, the county Party committee and government have continuously focused on enhancing the “specialty” and “excellence” of the red-date industry, making every effort to build the “Lin County Red Date” regional public brand. They have also explored new business models for the red-date industry, such as “red dates plus tourism” and orchard-based economies, and fostered a range of related industries, including jujube-flower honey, jujube-bud tea, jujube-wood shiitake mushrooms, and red-date sweet rice dumplings. Among these, jujube-wood shiitake mushrooms and jujube-bud tea have gained great popularity among consumers in Japan, South Korea, and other markets, with numerous orders flooding in from overseas.
